Me encantan las composiciones de Ennio Morricone de aires brasileños. Hace cosa de cuatro años se editó un disco que recopilaba muchas de estas canciones y que se ha convertido en uno de mis discos favoritos de siempre, todas las canciones me dejan con la boca abierta.
Estaba buscando en Spotify Construçao, mi disco favorito de Chico Buarque, cuando vi un disco titulado Ennio Morricone & Chico Buarque. No tenía ni idea de que habían trabajado juntos, así que me puse a investigar y resulta que Chico Buarque estuvo exiliado en Italia durante parte de la dictadura militar en Brasil. Juntos grabaron un disco precioso, donde se dan la mano las producciones y los arreglos imposibles de Morricone con la voz y las melodías de Chico Buarque.
Hay una versión del disco en italiano (Chico Buarque había pasado parte de su infancia en Italia), pero las canciones son mucho más bonitas en portugués, ese es el disco que se puede escuchar en Spotify.

I love Ennio Morricone's songs that have a Brazilian vibe. A compilation of some of those songs was published some years ago, and it has become one of my favorite records ever, all the songs are breathtaking.
The other day I was looking for Contruçao in Spotify, one of my favorite Chico Buarque records, when I saw that there was a record credited to both Ennio Morricone and Chico Buarque. I didn't know that they had worked together, so I did some research and I found out that Chico Buarque was exiled in Italy in the early years of the dictatorship that ran Brazil during the 70's. Together they recorded an astonishing album that combines Morricone's production and arrangements with Buarque's sweet vocals and melodies.
There's a version of the record sang completely in Italian (Buarque spent part of his childhood in that country), but it's much more beautiful the Portuguese version, the one that you can find in Spotify:
